WHAT IS THE PV19 FUND?
The PV19 Fund is a Non-Profit organization. We award a scholarship to one graduating Park View student that exemplifies the spirit of Park View and will represent the Patriots well in the professional world following high school. The scholarship is run by alumni of the Park View Class of 2019. This year's award is $2500.
WHAT INSPIRED THE PV19 FUND?
Giacomo Macchiavello's mother inspired her son, who is a PV 2019 Alumni, to create the scholarship after witnessing great disparities in higher education. Giacomo then drafted up a dream team to create the scholarship from scratch. Alumni's abilities and experiences were taken into consideration and were asked to be a part of the passion project. Naturally, after foundations were laid, many more 2019 alumni have volunteered and stepped up to help the committee.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING TO THE PV19 FUND?
Applicants must graduate from Park View High School. Acceptance to an academic institution or vocational practice institution is not required. You must, however, have an intent to pursue higher education following graduation from Park View.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
The application process for the PV19 Fund is similar to most other scholarships offered by various organizations. In order to be considered for the scholarship, a student must submit a transcript, two references from teachers, and the application itself. The application consists of standard background questions and the essay portion of the application. The essay can either be in written or video form. Detailed instructions can be found on the application.
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR APPLYING?
The application window opens on November 15 and closes on January 15. Those selected for final interviews will be notified and interviews will take place in the spring. The committee will reach a final decision by the beginning of May.
WHO IS BEHIND THE PV19 FUND?
We are a diverse group of 2019 PVHS alumni. Most of us attend different universities and have experienced the hurdles higher education can present first-hand. We have gathered all of our unique skills and perspectives to create and nurture the PV19 Fund to what it is today.
IS THE PV19 FUND LEGITIMATE?
YES! A group of 2019 alumni have diligently worked to create and promote this scholarship fund. The team members have worked in close collaboration with local businesses, community members, and Park View staff to ensure a smooth and transparent application process.
